NIKSUN Add-on Solution Modules

 24/7 Real-Time Network Surveillance Solution
NIKSUN offers a number of easy-to-use solution modules that extend the power and capabilities of NIKSUN appliances that include
NIKSUN NetDetector for network security surveillance and NIKSUN NetVCR for network performance management. NIKSUN's real-time network surveillance solution is integrated and scalable for LAN, MAN and WAN environments.

NIKSUN NetReporter™NetReporter enables users to create on demand or scheduled network, application, security and performance reports. Graphical and tabular reports are published on web pages or are available for distribution via email using PDF, CSV or HTML formats. Performance reports include link utilization, application performance, top host, host pair, Frame Relay QoS, etc. Security reports include event severity distribution, most frequent breaches, top offenders, etc. NetReporter's Network Journal Reports combine and correlate information from various interrelated reports in one easy step for convenient documentation and viewing.

NIKSUN NetMulticast™
NetMulticast monitors and troubleshoots multicast traffic on the network's access, distribution and core layers. It provides multicast application, traffic and protocol drill-down information from all sources and groups. NetMulticast alerts on utilization levels (including short spikes), retransmits, QoS level, etc. An integrated reporting engine facilitates long-term trending and capacity planning. Optional reachability analysis tools are available for testing end-to-end reachability, path delay analysis, active source/groups, etc. Read more about Multicast solutions from NIKSUN.
NIKSUN NetVoice®
NetVoice measures, records and reports on every VoIP flow in the network at real-time network traffic rates. It enables no-loss VoIP multi-time scale (packet to seconds to minutes to hours) and multi-level (link- to application-level) monitoring and troubleshooting on LAN, MAN and WAN interfaces. NetVoice provides VoIP protocol decodes, QoS statistics (jitter, delay, packet loss), MOS scores and audio/video reconstruction and playback based on the ITU standard 'E Modal' (MOS). NIKSUN NetXperts™
NIKSUN NetXperts is a vast, client-side library of  "Xpert" executables that can be triggered to generate specialized reports based on specific pre-defined criteria. It is a powerful diagnostic solution that is equipped with a substantial number of pre-written Xperts out-of-the-box that aid performance and security forensic analysis, on both appliance and enterprise levels. NetXperts empowers users to find network performance and security incidents and provides a path to forensic analysis for quick identification and resolution of root cause. It allows sensitivity analysis using easy parameter variation and its baselining feature can auto-set thresholds for accurate identification of anomalies. Read more on Xpert Analysis.

NIKSUN NetRTX™
NetVCR Real-Time Xperts (NetRTX) enables powerful, real-time Xpert and alerting capabilities that empower network operations and trouble-ticketing personnel to quickly resolve network and application-level problems. It leverages pre-written Xpert executables to match network incidents to defined criteria and generates real-time alarms. Users can view and analyze NetRTX alerts from the NIKSUN Event Viewer and drill-down to statistical or packet-level information to pinpoint root cause and identify impacted services and users. The alerts (SNMP traps or Syslog) can be exported to external management systems, facilitating high levels of integration.

NIKSUN NetSLM™
NetSLM generates service-level or quality of service (QoS) alerts on application or network response times, retransmissions, utilization, bit-rate service levels, etc. NetSLM alerts (upper or lower threshold breaches) can be diagnosed with NIKSUN's forensic analysis tools. NetSLM alerts are completely customizable with user-defined filters, monitoring severities, time intervals, etc. NIKSUN alerts are also compatible with, and can be exported to, various external management systems. NIKSUN NetUsage™
NetUsage enables users to generate and collect IP flow based detail records for IP Billing and Accounting. It polls data from the distributed NIKSUN Network Knowledge Warehouse situated on various NIKSUN appliances and issues reports based on correlated statistics. All measurement definitions, data collection parameters, export file format/time intervals are configurable by the user. Internet Protocol Detailed Records (IPDR) aggregated and generated by NIKSUN appliances can be viewed. NetUsage facilitates high integration options with various third-party tools and its files can be polled by all major mediation and aggregation systems.

NIKSUN NetPoller™
NIKSUN NetPoller complements NetVCR's extremely powerful and cost-effective network monitoring technology by polling distributed switches on the network for MIB II++ data to generate comprehensive switch/link-level traffic information. It issues detailed reports of traffic utilization, discards, error data, etc. per switch port and facilitates a high-level view of the network (including unicast, broadcast, multicast). NetPoller is extremely flexible; users may configure switch polling intervals and polling targets and can leverage NetPoller's multi-time scale capability to drill-down all the way to microseconds.
NIKSUN RMON Module™
Network management systems can remotely access RMON traffic statistics and data that have been indexed into the NIKSUN Network Knowledge Warehouse by NetVCR. Alerts and SNMP traps can be exported to external management systems, facilitating productive integration with deployed network management tools. NetVCR RMON data is more accurate than RMON-based probes because it is derived from 'true' network traffic, as opposed to periodic sampling (polling). NetVCR supports critical RMON I /II groups. The NIKSUN RMON module is certified to be compliant with various solutions for LAN and WAN such as 10/100/1000 Ethernet, FrameRelay, ATM, PoS, etc.
